- Alfredo Mayo -
(1970-1979)
This period is this of General Franco's death (1975) and of the return of a Bourbon King in the Spain throne. This period said of transition has been led by King Juan Carlos 1st who has permitted the passage from the Spanish State, born from the Spanish civil war (1936-1939) to a Democratic Monarchy.

In the seventies, Alfredo Mayo remains very busy with about fifty pictures which are much diversified: an unusual Iberian « swords and sandals» film, the last spaghetti western films, some comedies without pretension, historical films, and also more sex, more critics about the traditional society in contemporary stories or horror stories. The occidental world,  and in particular Spain (La Movida), is discovering new ways of filming. Alfredo Mayo is playing too in  Spanish TV Series which receive an important audience.
