II.- Remarks

Music and popular songs are blood and soul for all which is genuine, unic and different in Spain, our very dear piece of land at the end of Europe.

The director, screenstory writer and prolific Spanish producer
Eduardo Manzanos Brochero when he made in 1975 his film "Canciones de nuestra vida" permitted us to see and to hear some of the most great and unforgettable singers and dancers who performed musical works whose authors are mentioned above. He gave so a immense and essential present all the lovers of Spain, the Hispanis world and the Castillan lenguage. The premiere of the film happened four days after General Franco's death  (Chief of the Spanish State during 36 years).

"Canciones de nuestra vida" presents a succession of musical or danse acts (*). It is now a more precious present in a world which has been forged by force in the US mould : everywhere over the planet "Earth"  all people have to see the same genres of film, to enjoy the same artistic tastes, to love the same actors and actresses who have been created and moulded as real clones by the producers and their divinities: money and the mercantilist consumerism.

Moreover "Canciones de nuestra vida" (1975) permits us to see again
Spanish artists and Spanish cinema stars who present sometimes with eccentricity the different musical acts of the film, between them Fernando Sancho, José Nieto, Laly Soldevila, Luis Peña, and of course Alfredo Mayo.

Our favourite actor knows very well the very eclectic and talented
Eduardo Manzanos Brochero who yet had directed him in 1955 in "Suspenso en comunismo", a very funny but too  much unknown comedy; and also in "The teacher and the miracle" (1957) with Aldo Fabrizi. Alfredo Mayo will work again with Manzanos in 1977 for "El chiste", again a very emblematic film about the homo hispanicus.

So if we have only one advice to give you,
it will be to buy the DVD "Canciones de nuestra vida"
